* Anticipated completion year
I have served as the Project Director of two multi-year,
cross-departmental grants
-- the Society of Manufacturing Engineers Education Foundation
Grant (SME-EF) and the William and
As a result of the SME-EF work, three courses were
substantially revised and three new courses were developed and continue to be
offered as part of the curriculum available to engineering students at OSU. My role on this project was to coordinate the
efforts of the various faculty involved on the
project, to develop curriculum and labs for 2 of the courses, and to manage the
overall project (including timeline, scope, and budget). The project was evaluated by the granting
agency as a success and was highlighted at a SME-EF Board meeting, where I gave
a presentation on the overall project.
I have also been the director/project manager for the HF
ESWI program. Similar to the SME-EF Grant,
I have been responsible for managing the all aspects of this project. The scope was significant as we have involved
faculty from the College of Engineering (COE) as well as the
I chaired the 2008 ABET accreditation effort for all
three programs in our school (Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing
Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering).
I developed common processes for tracking, assessing, and evaluating
Program Educational Objectives, Program Outcomes, and Course Learning
Outcomes.
