Greg Rorrer - Laboratory Facilities

 

The Rorrer Group laboratory is set up to conduct bioprocess engineering research. The laboratory is fully equipped for cell culture development and bench-scale bioreactor culture. The laboratory also has a variety of analytical equipment to support bioprocess engineering research activities, including GC and HPLC.

Laboratory Space

Approximately 700 ft2 of climate-controlled laboratory space in Gleeson Hall (Rooms 302 and 309) at Oregon State University. The laboratory space also features a separate dishroom and chemicals storage room, two 4 ft fume hoods, a steam autoclave, and a deionized water source.

Bioreactors

  • Two-liter airlift photobioreactors (4 total)
  • Jacketed Bellco bioreactors (7 total; 0.1 -1.0 liters)
