Call For Tutorials

The IEEE Symposium on Visual Language is a forum for dissemination of basic as well as advanced content on all topics relevant to Visual Language research and practice. A strong tutorial program, bringing attendees in direct contact with scholars in the visual language field, has become an essential part of recent IEEE Symposia on Visual Languages.

We are now looking for highly qualified persons interested in presenting tutorials.

Some example topics for tutorials are:

This list is non-exclusive and other topic ideas are welcomed also.

Tutorials are expected to cover 3 hours.

Anybody interested in giving a tutorial should contact Paolo Bottoni at bottoni@dsi.uniroma1.it before March 1st, 2000 with a draft proposal including:

  1. Name of proposer
  2. Name of Tutorial
  3. Short CV of proposer
  4. Brief description of tutorial's content
  5. Expected type of audience (including prerequisites)
  6. Bibliography supporting the tutorial material
  7. Technical requirements
