You might consider Analytica 1.2 from Lumina,
which is now available with a 1-month free trial
for full functionality. Low academic pricing is
available for teaching and research. Analytica is
available for Windows 95/98/NT and Macintosh.

Analytica provides influence diagrams, but it has
much wider application than a conventional belief
net/ID solver. A review in PC Week said
"Everything that's wrong with the common PC
spreadsheet is fixed in Analytica." MacWorld
called it "The best decision analysis software so
far."

It's hierarchical influence diagrams let you
create and organize complex models into a
manageable hierarchy. It's Intelligent Arrays(tm)
let you flexibly scale up to multiple time
periods, products, regions, company divisions,
scenarios, or any other dimension. Its dynamic
simulation supports dynamic and Markov models. It
provides Monte Carlo and Latin hypercube sampleng
for efficient probabilistic analysis of predictive
problems with discrete or continuous variables. It
does not support diagnostic inference, but can
handle large models with thousands of variables
and uncertain quantities for predictive analysis.
An efficient approximate method for the expected
value of information is available.

Visit http://www.lumina.com/ for details and to
download the free trial version.
