
Prof. Magaña received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University, Ames, Iowa, in 1979, his M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from The Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Georgia, in 1980, and his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana, in 1987. From June 1980 to August of 1986, he held various research and development engineering positions in the Harris Corporation and the Boeing Company. From August 1987 to September 1989 he was a member of the faculty in the Electrical Engineering Department at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa. Since September of 1989 he has been a member of the faculty in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Oregon State University, Corvallis, Oregon. Prof. Magaña is a Senior Member of the IEEE and a member of HKN.
