Program 3 - Example Solutions

Examples of Good Student Solutions

Nice variation of brightness within each bar goup Especially effective contrast between bars and background
Text is very legible; bars would have been better if the background had been dimmed a little Nice choice of colors, but desaturating the bars would have made them more legible

Examples of Poor Student Solutions

Poor contrast of letters with background; should have darkened background considerably. Also, saturation/brightness of bars should have been changed to avoid "vibration" effect Use of spectrally extreme, highly saturated colors really causes "vibration"; same problem due to saturated blue letters on saturated cyan. Should have reduced the saturation of the background.
