MQM's graphical user interface calls on the Query Manager component whenever
it needs information on the message queues (at startup, when queue options
are changed, and when filters are changed). If the Query Manager already
has the needed data, it returns them directly. Otherwise, it requests the
data from the run-time system via
standard-format queries.
