It is widely held that the provision of additional modes of input for computer systems enhances the quality of the human-computer interaction. However, most present systems are restricted to, at most, two input methods. We present a system whereby any number of additional input modes may be added to existing applications software transparently. The structure of the system is outlined and theimplications for both able-bodied and physically disabled users arebriefly discussed.
