Optional but nice things to have:
- A compartmentalized box to carry lab components in such as a small tackle box.
- Nicer wire stripper with multiple sizes on the same tool, not the one with the
set screw for setting the wire gauge.
- More solder, 60/40 rosin core, Kester type #44, 0.020 to 0.032" diameter is a good size.
- If you are serious about EECS, you may want a better meter with more features.
If you have never soldered, don't worry. We will teach you. It is a fundamental EE skill that everybody should be proficient at.
