Assignments
Assignments are due at the beginning (first 5 minutes) of the class on
the due date, unless otherwise specified.
Late submission will be accepted if it is no more than 24 hours late,
and will be penalized by 80%. After 24 hours late, submissions will not
be accepted.
Collaboration Policy:
Solo
assignments: verbal
discussions are allowed but should be limited to general approaches and
strategies. You can also use examples that are not included in the
assigments in your discussion. In the end, anything you
turn in must be
created by you and you alone.
Team assignments: the
above policy applies between
teams.
If you have
question regarding the collaboration policy, please raise the question
before
you start working on an
assignment. The standard departmental rules for
academic dishonesty apply to all assignments in this course.
Grading and Exams
Homeworks and projects: 55%
Midterm: 20%
Final: 25%
Regrading Policy
Any requests
for regrading (assignments or exams) must be given to the instructor
in writing accompanied
by the assignment/exam. Such requests must be made within one week
after
the homework/exam has been returned. Please only submit a request when
you
observe what appears to be a clear error in the grading. Do not abuse
this avenue.
