The Almanac subdirectory leda contains files associated with the 
multiparadigm programming language Leda.

To obtain a particular file, send e-mail to almanac@cs.orst.edu and include
a line with the following format:

	send leda topic

where ``topic'' is one of the commands listed below.

Questions regarding the use of the almanac mail server should be directed
to almanac-bugs@cs.orst.edu

Questions regarding Leda should be directed to the author 
at budd@cs.orst.edu

These files are also available via anonymous ftp from ftp.cs.orst.edu,
directory users/b/budd/leda.  Because all of the files in this directory are
rather large, anonymous ftp may be a preferable means of access.

send leda catalog

	This command instructs the mail server to send a copy of this file.

send leda first.tar.Z

	This command instructs the mail server to send a copy of 
	a tar file containing the first leda compiler.
	This compiler has subsequently been replaced by a more recent
	version. (see below)

send leda cleda.tar.Z

	This command instructs the mail server to send a compressed
	tar file containing the source for the cleda system, which
	is leda with constraints.

send leda ledainterp.tar

	This command instructs the mail server to send a 
	tar file containing the source and documentation for the most 
	recent leda system.
		(see comments on using ftp, above)

send leda chapter1.ps

	This command instructs the mail server to send 
	postscript versions of the table of contents or the
	first three chapters of a forthcoming book on leda.
