This was really a 2nd edition, but because
it came so fast after the 1st edition they
editor didn't want to call it that. The reason
why the 2nd edition was necessary was the huge
number of changes that Java went through between
version 1.1 and 1.2.
I've never liked the picture of Phyl on this cover
as well as his picture on some of my other books.
