    At Aalborg University in Denmark at the Faculty of Engineering and
    Science, the Department of Computer Science, applications are hereby
    invited for a number of one-year positions of Post Doctors at AAU-HP
    Laboratory for Normative Systems. The possibility exists to prolong the
    engagements by another 1½ years. As per 1 August 2000, the posts should
    be filled.

    In connection with industrial projects based on normative systems, the
    laboratory seeks Ph.D. candidates with knowledge of Bayesian networks
    and influence diagrams. The job of the Post Doctors will be to build
    models in application projects and to develop and implement tools for
    decision support in e-service systems. Minor teaching tasks may be
    assigned to the Post Doctors.

    Employment is done according to the agreement between the Danish
    Government and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations.
    Re-employment can take place, but a Post Doctor cannot be employed at
    the same institution for more than 5 years. To qualify to the post, the
    applicant needs to hold a Ph.D. Degree or equivalent scientific
    qualifications. In the overall assessment of the individual applicant,
    the research potentials of the applicant are emphasised. The monthly
    salary, assuming no occupational experience upon Master’s and/or Ph.D.
    Degree, is app. DKK 26,000.

    The application should include a description of the scientific
    qualifications on which the applicant wishes to be assessed. Applicants
    are assessed by an expert committee. Application marked “Post No.
    202XX”, supplied with job category and accompanied with a CV,
    publications, a list of publications, certificates and other material in
    3 copies along with a list of the enclosed data should reach the
    University no later than 10 May 2000 by the morning mail.
