                       Chair in Machine Learning

    The University invites applications for a Chair in Machine
    Learning, to be held within the Division of Informatics.
    We seek a candidate who will further develop the strengths of the
    Division through empirical, theoretical, applications-oriented or
    inter-disciplinary research in any area of machine learning, including
    probabilistic graphical modelling, computational learning theory,
    inductive logic programming, pattern recognition, reinforcement
    learning, data mining, text mining, relations between human and
    machine learning.

    Outstanding applicants from areas of Informatics that provide a
    foundation for Machine Learning are also welcome, including
    databases, information retrieval, knowledge representation.

    In addition to strengths in research and scholarship, the successful
    candidate will provide leadership and inspiration, and play an
    active role in teaching and administration.
