Final Call For Papers
First European Workshop on
Probabilistic Graphical Models
PGM'02
6--8 November 2002, Cuenca, Spain
http://www.info-ab.uclm.es/pgm02
The aim of this workshop is to bring together those people
interested in probabilistic graphical models and to provide a forum for
discussion of the latest research in the field. In order to promote debate
among the participants, the number of accepted papers will be limited up
to 30-40, and there will be no parallel sessions. We welcome
theoretical, algorithmic and practical results related
to the following topics:
* Bayesian (belief) networks,
* Influence diagrams,
* Chain graphs,
* Exact and approximate propagation algorithms,
* Machine learning and data mining,
* Relation to other disciplines (as optimisation, search, ...)
* Applications to practical problems,
* Software,
* Any other aspect related to probabilistic graphical models.
SUBMISSIONS:
Authors are invited to submit their manuscripts electronically
before 31st of July 2002. Precise information about paper submission
and LaTeX styles is available at the workshop WWW home page.

Workshop participants will be provided with the
proceedings including all the accepted papers. Also, on-line
electronic proceedings will be available on the workshop web site.
Selected (expanded) papers will be published in an edited volume (Series:
Studies in "Fuzziness and Soft Computing"; Springer-Verlag) after the
workshop. Another selection of papers will appear in a special issue of
the "International Journal of Uncertainty, Fuzziness and
Knowledge-Based Systems".
LANGUAGE:
The official language of the workshop will be
English. No simultaneous translation into other languages will be
