Welcome
Welcome to the Headwaters to Ocean (H2O) Research Collective in the School
of
Civil and Construction Engineering at the Oregon State Unviersity.
We study the movement of water from high mountain environments to
coastal areas. We use field measurements, remotely sensed data, and
models to improve understanding of many components of the hydrologic
cycle and of coastal water levels and currents. We collaborate with
many ecologists and other scientists to advance understanding of how
physical and ecological processes interact. Finally, we model the
changes in snowpack, streamflow, and coastal hydraulics that result
from a changing environmental forcing. Our recent work has been funded
by NASA, National Geographic, NSF, and the North Pacific Research Board.
