Goals classified as active (should be pursued now).
actor assignments
The assignments of actors to functions.
actor factors
Factors (properties, attributes, characteristics) that affect actor behavior. For human actors, these include - knowledge (declarative, procedural) - inherent capabilities and limitations - memory - motivation - workload - level of alertness - fatigue - level of authority - etc. For machine actors, these include - knowledge (declarative and procedural) - functional capabilities and design limitations - operational state (operational, inoperative) - etc.
AgendaManager
A computational aid to facilitate management of the flightdeck agenda.
agendas
The agendas of the actors. Literally, an agenda is a list of things to be done. In the context of this model, an agenda consists of a set of goals to be achieved, a set of functions to accomplish them, assignments of actors to functions, and allocations of resources to functions. Each actor maintains his/her/its own agenda, which may or may not be consistent with the agendas of other actors. Together, the individual agendas can be viewed as forming a single, composite flightdeck agenda.
allocate resources to functions
Decide what resources are to be used to perform each function. This must be coordinated with the resource allocations of other actors through shared agenda information.
assign actors to functions
Decide which actors are to perform each function. This must be coordinated with the actor assignments of other actors through shared agenda information.
current allocations
Resource allocations in the actor's current agenda.
current assignments
Actor assignments in the actor's current agenda.
current functions
Functions in the actor's current agenda.
current goals
Goals that are currently in the actor's agenda.
derived goals
These are (sub)goals derived from other goals through planning, decision making, and problem solving functions.
function status assessments
Assessments of function status: actor performance (speed, accuracy), progress, liklihood that the goal will be achieved, etc.
manage functions
Initiate, assess, prioritize, and terminate functions to achieve goals. This must be coordinated with the function management of other actors through shared agenda information.
manage goals
Recognize, infer, activate, and terminate goals. Prioritize active goals. This must be coordinated with the goal management of other actors through shared agenda information.
managed functions
Active, assessed, prioritized functions.
managed goals
The actor's goals, after they have been activated, prioritized, and terminated.
mission goal
A goal is a desired system behavior and may involve attaining a desired state or maintaining a desired state. The mission goal is the high level goal to be accomplished in a commercial transport aircraft mission, that of safely, legally, and efficiently moving the aircraft and its cargo from the origin airport to the destination airport. In the course of flightdeck activities, the mission goal is decomposed into more specific subgoals.
own agenda
This actor's own agenda, which may or may not be consistent with the agendas of other actors.
resource allocations
Allocations of resources to functions.
shared agenda information
Information about the actors' agendas shared between the actors. This may include queries, responses, commands, and information about goals, functions, priorities, and recognized discrepancies between different actors' agendas. It may also include negotiations on actor assignments and resource allocations.
shared allocation information
Information about the resource allocations in other actors' agendas.
shared assignment information
Information about actor assignments in other actors' agendas.
shared function information
Information about functions in the other actors' agendas.
shared goal information
Information about other actors' goals in other actors' agendas.
situation model
This actor's situation model. It may or may not be complete or accurate and may or may not be consistent with the models of other actors.
updated agendas
The agendas of the actors, updated by agenda management activities. Again, each actor maintains his/her/its own agenda, which may or may not be consistent with the agendas of other actors.
updated own agenda
This actor's own agenda, updated by his/her/its own agenda management activities. Again, this updated agenda may or may not be consistent with other actors' agendas.
