About the Primer

This course is designed to introduce non-aviation professionals to the basic concepts and terminology used in aviation. The Primer is the first part of a three part course that will be developed for airfield infrastructure managers. This course will focus on the preservation, rehabilitation, maintenance and management of small and rural airfield infrastructure. This course includes the "Primer" for those who are not familiar with aviation, and is offered as a self paced WWW based course. The third part of the course is an application or synthesis component that is offered through the web or other distance education formats after the airfield segment.
