The San Diego Supercomputer Center (SDSC)
is on the north end of the UCSD campus.
To get here, do the following:
- Take Interstate 5 to the Genesee exit
- Turn west, that is, towards the ocean
- As you go up the hill, go through a stoplight at
Science Center and another stoplight at John Jay Hopkins Drive.
- Turn left at the next stoplight, Torrey Pines Road.
(Do not be confused by left and straight both being Torrey
Pines Road -- turn left anyway...)
- Turn left again at the first stoplight, UCSD Northpoint Driveway.
- Go straight through 2 stop signs.
- You must stop at the Information Booth here and purchase a parking pass.
Park in lots 351 or 357.
Click here for a parking lot map.
-
From those lots, walk south on Ridgewalk,
which is located just east of the lot, past the RIMAC Arena.
Take the next down walkway on your left, this will lead you to the SDSC lobby.
-
Parking passes are not required on weekends.
On weekends, you may park in any red, green, yellow, or metered space.
- If you need to drive to SDSC
(e.g., coming on a weekend, or dropping someone off),
continue on as you would have been had you not stopped
at the Information Booth.
You will now be curving around a large athletic field.
SDSC is the second building on the right.
- Turn right into the parking lot and park.
Do not park in any of the Reserved spaces.
- When you get to the door, you will likely
find it locked.
Pick up the phone
on the outside of the building and ask the operators to buzz you in.
