Here is our BEAUTIFUL BABY Cameron!

How it works:
The image, taken from a small USB camera mounted in the nursery, is uploaded to the webserver every five seconds. I use a software package (Webcam32) to accomplish this. The software opens the connection to my server via FTP, and takes snap shot (in .jpg format), copying over the "old" image every five seconds. The software is capable of streaming video in .avi format as well.

The webpage you are looking at is "blinking" every five seconds as it "auto-refreshes" and uses the newly uploaded image. This keeps you the websurfer, from having to refresh your page manually to get the new image. If we turn the software off, the page will dislplay the last loaded image over and over.

I'm keeping the software running most of the time now and we can swivel the camera about in the nursery from the crib to the rocker, so you may see Cameron in the image more frequently. Thanks to Dad for making the camera mount on the crib.
