CS450: Data Explorer Main Page
We will be using the IBM Visualization Data Explorer ("dx") for our
class projects in this course. The software is installed on all of
the HP's in the CS lab except for Python. It can be invoked by typing
"dx" at the shell prompt.
To initialize your environment, you should look at Setting up your DX environment, and follow the
instructions there. Then you should work the exercises for CS450 Program Problem 5. You may also want
to use curved surfaces in your final project. To get some experience
with them, look at Cornell Lab 2: Curved
Surface Representations.
