GENERAL INFORMATION

Time, Location and Weather
The symposium will take place from 27-29 August, 1999 in Hanoi, Vietnam.
Summer begins from June and lasts until August. Weather in Hanoi this time
is pleasant with temperature about 25-30 degree C.

Language
The official language is English

Proceedings
Proceedings will be distributed to participants during symposium. The
selected papers of MIF'99 will be edited to publish in the special issue of
an appropriate International Journal.

INSTRUCTION FOR ABSTRACTS
Authors are invited to submit one copy of an extended summary of about 500
words to the representatives of MIF'99. All material should be in English.
This summary should contain sufficient details including key concepts and
novel features of the work and include the title, authors, mailing
address, phone fax number, email of each author. The paper will be reviewed
by the board of the program committee.

INSTRUCTION FOR PAPERS
The format of the camera-ready manuscript is IEEE CDC or ACC double
columns A4 paper.
1. You need to submit two copies of exact-size camera-ready manuscripts
using a high quality, 300 dpi or more laser- printed manuscripts preferable
2. Papers must be written in English and should be confined to maximum of
10 pages for Plenary speaker and 8 pages for other speakers.
3. On the first page, the distance from the top edge of the paper to the
top of the first line of type (i.e., the title) should be 30 mm. On the
second, and subsequent pages, the distance from the top edge of the paper
to the top of the first line of type should be 26 mm. The text should be
centered left-to-right on the page, i.e., left and right margins should be
the same (16 mm). The width of each column should be 84 mm. The distance
between the two columns of text should be 10 mm. The distance from the
bottom edge of the
paper to the bottom of the last line of type on the page should be no less
than 26 mm.
4. On A4 paper, a font size of 12 points or greater is required. Some
technical formatting programs print mathematical formulas in italic type,
with subscripts and superscripts in a slightly smaller font size. This is
acceptable. The Times New Roman is the suggested font.
5. Major headings are to be column centered in a bold font or in capitals
without an underline. They may be numbered, if so desired. Subheadings
should be in a bold font or underlined lowercase with initial capitals.
They should start at the left-hand margin on a separate line.
Sub-subheadings are to be in a bold font or underline type. They should be
indented and run in at the beginning of the paragraph.
6. The title should be centered across the top of the first page and
should be in a distinctive point size or font, 17 point Times New Roman is
suggested.
7. The authors' names and addresses should be centered below the title.
These lines should be in at least eleven point type, but the particular
point sizes and fonts are not critical and are left to the discretion of
the authors. Times New Roman 12 point is suggested. Please include your
e-mail address.
8. List and number all references at the end of the paper. When citing
references in the text, type the corresponding number in square brackets.
References should be complete and in standard IEEE style.
