Dear all,

Here attached is the announcement of a new program for supervised Bayesian
classification from incomplete databases.

Kind regards,

Marco

RoC (Robust Bayesian Classifier)
Version 1.0 (Beta) for MS Windows 9x/NT

This is to announce the availability of RoC (Robust Bayesian
Classifier) Version 1.0 (Beta) for MS Windows 9x/NT. RoC is
a Bayesian supervised classifier able to handle incomplete
databases with no assumption about the missing data mechanism.

The main capabilities of RoC are:

- Estimation of conditional probability distributions from
incomplete data.
- Class membership prediction.
- Unsupervised discretization.
- Treatment of incomplete cases with no assumption about the
missing data mechanism.
- A cross validation facility included.
- Automated definition of classes and attributes from data.
- Easy-to-use wizard interface.
- On screen context sensitive help.

RoC Version 1.0 (Beta) requires MS Windows 9x/NT, 32MB RAM
(64MB preferred) and 10MB of free disk space.

RoC was developed by the Bayesian Knowledge Discovery Project
of The Open University, United Kingdom, and it is available
from http://kmi.open.ac.uk/projects/bkd. RoC is distributed
free of charge for educational and research purposes only.
