Welcome to the Microscale Transport Enhancement Lab’s website. The primary focus of our work is improving the heat transfer and fluid flow capabilities of microscale heat sinks. As you can see from the picture, our heat sinks have a unique geometry borrowed from nature. This fractal-like branching channel network allows the heat transfer area to be increased while pressure drops are decreased.
