                     Second Call for Papers
                         ICWAA'2001
           The Second International Conference on
            Wavelet Analysis and Its Applications

               Hong Kong, December 18-20, 2001

The first international conference has been held in China in 1999.
Following the success of the first conference, the second international
conference will be held in Hong Kong in 2001. The objective of this
conference is to provide a forum for both researchers working on
wavelet theory and applications. By idea-sharing and discussions on
the state-of-the-art in wavelet theory and applications, ICWAA01 is
expected to stimulate the future development, explore novel
applications, and exchange ideas for developing robust solutions.

The topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

      A. Wavelet Theory

         1. Wavelet Algorithms
         2. Constructions of Wavelet
         3. Wavelet Applications in Numerical Analysis and
            Fractal Functions
         4. Frame Theory
         5. Wavelet in Harmonic Analysis
         6. High Dimension Wavelet Problems
         7. Vector Wavelet Functions
         8. Multi-wavelet
         9. Wavelet Sampling
         10.Others

      B. Wavelet Applications

         1. Image and Video Compression
         2. Speech, Image and Signal Processing
         3. Document Image Analysis
         4. Character Recognition
         5. Texture Analysis
         6. Face and Gesture Recognition
         7. Computer Vision
         8. Biomedical Image Applications
