Dear Colleagues,
1. Please mark your calendar for the conference "Inference, Culture, and
Ordinary Thinking in Dispute Resolution," April 27-29, 2003, Cardozo
School of Law, Yeshiva University, 55 Fifth Avenue, Manhattan, New York
1003.
--Details to follow in a few weeks. This conference, like its several
predecessors, will have an interdisciplinary tone.
2. The following book is now in print: THE DYNAMICS OF JUDICIAL PROOF:
COMPUTATION, LOGIC, AND COMMON SENSE (Marilyn MacCrimmon & Peter Tillers,
eds.; Physica-Verlag [Springer-Verlag], March 2002) (vol. 94 in series
STUDIES IN FUZZINESS AND SOFT COMPUTING, Janusz Kacprzyk, editor).
-- Most but not all of the papers in this book appeared in 22 Cardozo Law
Review 1365-1851, but the graphs, diagrams, figures, and many of the
mathematical expressions that appear in many of the papers in the Cardozo
Law Review (double) issue are not available via the LEXIS and WESTLAW
databases.
--The new contributions are by Lotfi A. Zadeh and Ron A. Shapira.
Thank you for your attention.
Sincerely,
Peter Tillers
