Laminate Calculator

This calculator is an EXCEL spreadsheet that uses equations from the ME4/583 class to calculate the elastic properties of laminated stacks of uniaxial long fiber composite lamina. Instructions for use are included on the spreadsheet. Please let me know if you find errors or have technical problems using it. Download it by clicking on the link below.

New Laboratory Laminate Calculator

This calculator is an EXCEL spreadsheet that uses equations from the ME4/583 class to calculate the elastic properties of laminated stacks of uniaxial long fiber composite lamina. It is different from the above laminate calculator is two important ways. First, it assumes that all of the lamina are made from the same fiber and matrix materials, so that data only has to be entered once. Second, the possible anisotropy of the fiber is allowed for. This is taken care of by using the axial fiber modulus for calculations of E1, and using the transverse fiber modulus for calculations of E2. Everything else is the same as in the original Laminate Calculator. Instructions for use are included on the spreadsheet. Please let me know if you find errors or have technical problems using it. Download it by clicking on the link below.
