Here you can find a list of some projects I have done, some focused on engineering while others more so about classes I have taken. I am proud of the work I do and have made an attempt to keep track of things I accomplish, primarily larger projects taking up a large portion of time.
-Robotic Arm I was in a group which was tasked to design a robotic arm capable of 360 degree rotation, plus be able to handle up to 5 pounds of weight. This for the intention that the arm could function as an extra hand (literally) in an operating room so as to provide assistance to a surgeon, either be in handling tools or operating a camera for a better view.
While we were provided with everything from the Arduino kits and the Vex robotics metal parts, there was still the question of doing assembly of them in Autodesk Inventor. This is when I first got introduced into computer-aided design (CAD), and I enjoyed every minute of it.

-Pruning Machine In the final year of the EASA program students begin working with local companies, talking to them about what product or design would help them. My group talked to Oregon Pride Nurseries and they had built a pruning machine, but they were unhappy with it. Some of their issues were the heaviness, the poor turn radius and the lift mechanism for the platform, a set of gears and screws with a handle to operate it, would often not work.
We worked on creating a pruning machine like theirs but lightweight, more maneuverable and reliable so as to make the job of the worker using it easier. Since we no longer had pre built pieces or metals to work with, we relied on further skill expression such as metal fabrication to accomplish this project. When it was all said and done, after we had tested our design and so had workers from Oregon Pride making sure the machine was suitable, we handed it off. This project taught me in particular that engineering not only solves problems, but also makes the solutions easier with innovation.

-Human Health Portfolio At Oregon State, in order to fulfill the Baccalaurete Core requirements, one must take a Biological science course. Science is something I am not particularly fond of, never has been a strong suit of mine. However using newfound skills such as simple drawing and drafting, creating webpages such as this one, learning about new topics is quite enjoyable and can be breath of fresh air.
