Electric Energy Extraction from the Ocean
Dr. Annette von Jouanne (PI) and Alan Wallace (co-PI) of Electrical Engineering Department, Solomon Yim (co-PI)
Professor von Jouanne and Wallace of Electrical and Computer Engineering are studying means of harvesting energy from the ocean using mechanical devices submerged in the wave zone. Professor Yim assists in numerical modeling of the mechanical systems and the dynamic behavior of the systems in ocean waves.
